Browns will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary

Bill and Elaine Brown of Abilene will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 7, at the Frontier Estates meeting room, 601 N. Buckeye. All friends and relatives are invited. They request no gifts.

Bill Brown and Elaine Brumm were united in marriage on Aug. 7, 1960 by the Rev. Moose at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Clarks Creek Road, Junction City.

Hosts for the occasion are their children and spouses: Nathan and Cristie of Junction City; Casen and Virginia of Niles and Billy and Lori of Abilene. They have eight grandchildren, Wesley, Jakob, Ajay, Casen M. Alexandra, Zachary, Kylie and Logan Brown.

Bill is a retired farmer and is a carrier for the Salina Journal. Elaine worked for 28 years at First National Bank and is currently in her 22nd year as bookkeeper for a greyhound racing kennel.
