Cowgirls place 5th at State Spirit Day Showcase

Members of the Abilene High School cheer squad placed fifth in Class 4A state competition at the Third Annual Kansas Sate High School Activities Association Game Day Spirit Showcase Saturday in Topeka. Abilene made the finals along with Louisburg (1), Augusta (2), KC Piper (3), Paola (4), Abilene (5) and Fort Scott (6). Abilene’s overall point total finish was third amongst Class 4A schools in the preliminary rounds.
