Markus Kalman Madacs, 52, of Abilene passed away March 22, 2019.

He was born March 18, 1967 in Landstuhl, Germany, the son of Kalman and Waltrud Madacs. He migrated to the United States at the age of 5.

He graduated from Abilene High School in 1982 and enlisted in the Kansas Army National Guard. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He was employed at Abilene Machine for 20 years and Schwans GSC for the last 2. He is survived by his wife Amy of 22 years, mother Waltrud Madacs, sister Birgitte Londene, children Benjamin M. Madacs, Rachel M. Madacs-Johnson and Alex Q Madacs and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Thomas.

A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Armory building in Abilene. The family suggests memorials be given to the Armory Building of Abilene.
