Linda Hawk, 76, passed away Friday, July 5, in Salina.

She was born Oct. 9, 1942 in Abilene, the daughter of Harry John and Anna Maxine (Rittgers) Hawk.

Growing up in Abilene, Linda attended local schools, graduated from Abilene High School and attended Kansas State University. All her life was spent in Abilene. She had been employed as a bank bookkeeper.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judith Hawk. Linda is survived by a brother Paul W. (Debbie) Hawk of Pratt, a niece Crystal Kohman of Pratt and a nephew, Joe Hawk of Abilene.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Danner Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Kohler officiating. Interment will follow in the Abilene Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the diabetes association. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home, POB 758, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
