HARPER — Kenneth “K.D.” Kiser Jr. was born Aug. 1, 1964, and died on May 8, 2019.

Ken grew up in Harper, Kansas, attending Harper schools and graduating from Chaparral High School in 1982.

He started working in the newspaper business at an early age, which he continued until his passing.

Ken recently married Valeria Dell in Medford, Oklahoma. We couldn’t have asked for a better daughter or sister-in-law than Val.

Surviving is wife Valerie Kiser of Medford, Oklahoma, stepsons Clay, Dexter and Dustin Dell, daughter Alyssa, son-in-law Brice, and grandchildren Rhett and Everly Lytle of Garden Plain, Kansas, daughter Jennifer Kiser of Pullman, Washington, mother Carlene Taylor and sister Kristine Kiser of Abilene, Kansas, and mother-in-law Pauletta Messer of Colorado, along with a host of extended family members and friends.

Recent relatives preceding him in death are his first wife, Sherri Kiser (2013), and his father, Kenneth Kiser Sr. (2016).
