Christopher L. Morton, 58, passed away Monday, Nov. 5 in Wichita.

He was born July 6, 1960 in Abilene, the son of Dan J. and Frances J. (Smith) Morton. Growing up in Abilene, Christopher attended local schools. He married Hayley Van Buren, later separating. He had owned and operated General Machine and Class Rat Cycle Works.

He enjoyed customizing motorcycles and loved his dogs. Christopher was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Dan Morton Jr..

He is survived by a son Jesse (Susa) Morton of Germany, father Dan Morton Sr. of Abilene, sisters Cecilia (Greg) Weller of Chapman, Joanie (Jimmy) Brown of Norfolk, Neb., brothers Chuck Morton of Redondo Beach California and Paul (Kim) Morton of Wichita and grandson Luke Lee Morton.

The family has chosen cremation.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at the St. Andrews Catholic Church with Fr. Don Zimmerman officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Danner Funeral Home followed by a parish rosary at 2:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions in his memory be made to Village Manor. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
