Charles D. Ausherman, 72, passed away Thursday, June 6, in Abilene.

He was born Sept. 8, 1946 in Abilene, the son of Dean A. and Lila M. (Dennison) Ausherman. Growing up in Manchester, Charles attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1964.

He had been employed by Beach Aircraft of Salina, retiring after 42 years. Charles enjoyed working with cattle and farming in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Floyd Ausherman.

Charles is survived by brothers Kenneth Ausherman of Minneapolis and David (Robin) Ausherman of Abilene and sister-in-law Phyllis Ausherman of Minneapolis.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, at the White Cloud Cemetery west of Manchester with Pastor Roland Slater officiating.

Danner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
