The United Way of Dickinson County announced that the goal of $95,000 for the 2012 Annual Fall Fund Drive has been achieved. The campaign will provide funds this year to 18 local non-profit agencies serving Dickinson County residents with programs to improve their health, become financially self-reliant, and youth success.
“Our board is extremely pleased and grateful for such remarkable donor support this year,” said Cindy Wedel, 2012 campaign drive co-chair. “Given the tenuous economic climate we all face, it is more heartwarming than ever to know that we live in such a wonderful community that cares about and helps each other in times of need.”
Since 1958 the United Way has been operating locally to advance the common good. Donations to the United Way of Dickinson County are tax-deductible and can either be designated to the impact areas of health, financial stability, and youth programs or to individual agencies designated as community partners. Donations to the United Way of Dickinson County are accepted year round.
