A 24-year-old white male was arrested by the Salina Police Department at American’s Best Value Inn on N. Buckeye Wednesday afternoon.
Abilene Police Chief Mark Heimer said a call from the Salina Police was received Wednesday morning that a man wanted by SPD for a felony was staying at the Abilene inn.
Abilene police assisted with the warrant and arrest by the Salina tactical team around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Joel M. Heil, 24, an acquaintance of Tyler’s, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear in Saline County District Court and a probation violation. Heil remained on probation from a conviction for aggravated assault related to an incident in July 2010 in which he threatened a Wild, Wild West employee with a knife, according to court records. A motion filed to revoke his probation alleged that he had violated the terms of probation by breaking the law.
