WAKEFIELD – The Hope Lions track teams competed at the Wakefield Invitational Track Meet Monday.
Junior Dustin Davidson of the Lions won the triple jump with a leap of 36-8.
Hope senior Nathan Lorson placed first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.75.
Brian Lauxman finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles at 58.44.
Lauxman came back to win the 110-high hurdles with a time of 22.12.
Davidson took home the gold for Hope in the 800-meter run, finishing at 2:24.2 while Adam Adkins placed third at 2:37.8.
Adkins finished third place in the high jump at 5-2, and Dustin Rhodes came in fourth place at 5-0.
Junior Trevor Hostettler placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.47.
Hostettler finished fourth in the 200-meters at 27.72.
Adkins and Ian Norton finished first and second in the 3200-meter run with times of 13:48.8 and 15:40.3.
The Hope 4x100 relay team finished second at 52.31.
In the 4x400 relay, Hope placed third place at 4:24.09.
Teams scores in the boys meet: Wakefield 82, Hope 47, White City 46 and St. Xavier 12.
The Lady Lions finished in third place in team scoring with 21 points behind Wakefield 106, White City 36 and St. Xavier had 5.
Sophomore Abby Ink won the triple jump with a distance of 28-11.5.
Hope senior Jordyn Bartten finished third in the long jump with a leap of 13-2.25.
Jenny Whitehair came in second place in the 300-meter hurdles at 1:23.32.
Whitehair finished third place in the discuss with a toss of 75-1. She also placed second in the javelin with a throw of 88-7.
Barten ran fourth in the 1600-meter run with a time of 7:43.37 and she placed first in the 3200-meter run watt 16:48.53.
