Felix A. Strauss 91, passed away Monday, March 11th, in Enterprise. He was born October 21, 1921 in Junction City the son of Felix A. Sr. and Dena (Nesselhoff) Strauss. Growing up in the area, he attended local schools. On February 5, 1942, he married Kathleen J. Lowe. Most all of their married life was spent farming south of Abilene. She preceded him in death October 8, 2012. Besides farming, Felix also top dressed wheat in the Enterprise and Detroit area and maintained the roads for Grant Township for twenty years. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, a ˝ sister and a twin brother. He was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church.
Survived by: Daughter, Sue Feeney, Detroit, KS; Son, Kenny Strauss, Enterprise; 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren, 5 Great-great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 15th, at the Abilene First United Methodist Church with Rev. Shane Britt officiating. Interment will follow in the Farmington Cemetery south of Abilene.
The family will receive friends 5:30 to 6:30 Thursday, March 14th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to the Abilene First United Methodist Church. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
