HAYS – The Hope Lady Lions had their season come to an end against the number three seed Rexford-Golden Plains Bulldogs in the first round of the Class 1A-II State Tournament, 58-43.

The Lady Bulldogs won every quarter of the game, out scoring the Lady Lions 16-10 in the first, 11-10 in the second, 14-12 in the third, and 17-11 in the fourth. Golden Plains also grabbed a huge advantage on the boards out rebounding Hope 39-20.

Three Lady Bulldogs cracked the double digit scoring plane, Hailee Spresser with 15, Kylie Jones with 14, and Jordan Christensen who had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Golden Plains will play Norwich in Friday's second girls’ semifinal.

Alissa Lauxman led Hope in scoring with 14, and Abi Dillon added 11. The Lions finish the season at 17-6.
