Law inforcement investigating beer party

The Abilene Police and Dickinson County Sheriff are both investigating a beer party in central Dickinson County Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

Abilene Police Chief Mark Heimer said that early Sunday morning an individual was taken to the Memorial Hospital Emergency Room and treated for alcohol poisoning.

The individual, a high school student, was air lifted out of the hospital to another hospital but details are not known at this time. The Abilene police also charged juveniles with minor in consumption. The sheriff’s office then investigated the party at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. Sheriff Gareth Hoffman said charges are expected to be filed but is still being investigated.
