The Abilene Cowboys upset McPherson 59-55 in the Class 4A Sub-State basketball tournament hosted by Abilene Thursday night. Abilene will play Hesston, winners over Concordia Thursday, Saturday night for the Sub-State championship.

The Abilene Cowgirls will host top seeded Hesston tonight in the second game of the evening's semifinals.

Clay Center and McPherson girls' game starts at 6 p.m.
