Mary Helen Jared, 95, of Abilene, formerly of Salina, died Feb. 6, 2013, at Village Manor, Abilene. She was born March 24, 1917, the daughter of Fred and Lillian (Lowell) Utt. She was a homemaker.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Louis. She is survived by a son, Tim Jared, of Manhattan; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

Mary’s ashes will be inurned in the columbarium in Christ Cathedral Episcopal Church, Salina. No services are planned.
