Paul Lee Picking, age 66, of Abilene, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina.
He was born June 11, 1946 in Abilene the son of Lawrence and Shirley (Cairns) Picking. He attended Abilene High School and was the owner of Glory B Trucking in Abilene.
On Oct. 4, 1990, he married Gloria Mayhew in Las Vegas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his children Brandy, Stacy, Jonathan, Matthew, and Robbie Picking; brother Jeff Picking; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert, and his parents.
There will be a Parish Vigil Service 6:30 p.m. Monday with the family receiving friends following at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Abilene with Father Henry Baxa as Celebrant.
Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be in the Mount St. Joseph Cemetery.
