KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Rev. Daniel Richard Swenson, 62, died Jan. 26, 2013, at Research Medical Center, in Kansas City, Mo. He was born April 11, 1950, to David and Elsie Swenson, of Lindsborg.

He attended local schools and graduated from Lindsborg High School in 1968. Daniel graduated from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago in 1978. He became an ordained Lutheran minister on June 7, 1978. The Rev. Swenson was an active clergy member of All Saints Lutheran Church at Blue Springs.

The Rev. Swenson was preceded in death by his parents, David and Elsie Swenson, and one nephew, Matthew Ryff.

Survivors include his sisters, Doris Schneider, of Lindsborg, and Donna Ryff, of Hope.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at All Saints Lutheran Church, in Blue Springs, Mo.

Memorials made be made to All Saints Lutheran Church, in memory of the Rev. Swenson.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
