Chamber to host banquet Feb. 19

The 85th Annual Abilene Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the Abilene Elks Club.

The program titled “The Future of the Chamber” will feature Kelly Cooper with the Abilene Area Chamber of Commerce, sponsors of the banquet; David Dillner, city manager; and Glenda Purkis, director of the CVB.

The event will start with a social time from 6 to 6:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Abilene High School Singers will provide entertainment.

At 7 p.m. the presentation of awards will begin followed by a short business meeting and program.

The meal includes roast beef or chicken fried chicken.
