Gary Burkholder, 62, of Abilene, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Abilene. Gary was born Aug. 1, 1950, the son of George and Irene Burkholder.

He was self employed, working most of his life on the farm.

He married Lina Foukelinia Van Derwal. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Jamie Burkholder of California and a son, Nathan Burkholder of Topeka; two grandchildren and several cousins.
