The Abilene Children’s Library announced its 2013 Fall Semester of Programs beginning Sept. 3 and ending Dec. 14. These programs include:
•Wee Read Story Times weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 10:15 a.m. Designed for infants through preschoolers, these programs will encourage the development of sic pre-reading skills through songs, finger plays, stories, puppets, and crafts. Programs are 30 to 45 minutes long. No registration is needed and adults are to accompany the children.
•After School Specials will take place on Sept. 3 & 17, Oct. 1 & 15, Nov. 5 & 19, and Dec. 3 and start at 3:40 p.m. These programs are for elementary students and will consist of stories, guest presenters, games, crafts and refreshments.
•Tweens and Teens will take place on Sept. 5 & 19, Oct. 3, 17, & 31, Nov. 14, and Dec 5 and start at 3:40 p.m. These programs are for 5th through 8th grade students and will consist of stories, games, art projects, crafts and refreshments.
