Dickinson County elections

Several people have filed for elected position in Dickinson County.

Deadline for filing is noon on Dec. 22, according to County Clerk Barbara Jones.

The local elections will be held April 2.

For Abilene USD 435, three positions will be elected. Kari Porter-Murray filed for re-election to district 2, position 5. District 1, position 4 currently held by Debra Barbur and district 3, position 6 currently held by Dale Koop will be on the ballet.

For Solomon USD 393 three positions will be elected. Deb Brown-Robertson, New Cambria, filed for re-election to district 2, position 5. District 1, position 4 currently held by Gary Mitchell and district 3, position 6 held by David Hasker are also on the ballot.

For USD 481, three positions are open. Daryle Ash of White City filed for district 1, position 5 currently held by Casey Riedy. Earlier, Jess Hopper of White City filed for District 1, position 3, currently held by Esther M. Dillon. District 2, position 6 currently held by Duane Blythe will be on the ballot.

Five at large positions are up for reelection for the Carlton City Council.

All five incumbents have filed for reelection to the council: Darren Haney, Kathleen Rader, Gina Marie Rader, Gene E. Schlesener and Georgia Martin.
