Chad N. Thrush, 25, passed away Thursday, August 15th. He was born July 28, 1988 in Salina, the son of Cecil E. Sr. and Debra J. (Carpenter) Thrush. Growing up in the Abilene area, he attended local schools. In 2006 he joined the National Guard and then the Army in 2009, serving in Korea. He was a self-employed mechanic and owner of Thrush Racing and Repair.

(Linda) Thrush, Detroit; Sister Cecilia Elliott, Detroit; Brother Cecil E. Thrush, Jr.Detroit; 2 Step-sisters Amanda Hale, Detroit; Lindsey Meadors, Abilene; Step-brother Dustin Meadors, Springdale, AR; Brother-in-law Brian Elliott, Detroit; Companion Rachel Brown, Abilene.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 21st, at the Emmanuel Methodist Church in Abilene with Rev. Stan Norman officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, August 20th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to Chad Thrush’s children’s education fund. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, KS 67410.
