Justin Clark, LAT, ATC, of Memorial Health System Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine has been elected to the Kansas Athletic Trainers Society Executive Board position of Public Relations Director.
Clark’s main responsibilities as the PR Director of KATS will entail promoting the profession of Athletic Training in the state of Kansas, serving as a voting member on the state executive board and assisting and organizing fundraising events pertaining to KATS. He will travel to Washington DC annually to visit with the Kansas State Representative in an effort to promote athletic training.
KATS was founded in 1980 with a goal to advance the profession of Athletic Training in the State of Kansas and provide citizens of Kansas with increase knowledge of the profession.
Athletic trainers are regulated and licensed health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity of patients and clients. An Athletic Trainer’s work entails prevention, diagnosis and the treatment of emergent, acute and chronic medical conditions concerning impairment, functional limitations and disabilities.
Clark is a graduate of Emporia State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in health promotions with an emphasis on athletic training. Clark has been the Athletic Trainer for MHS Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine since 2006.
