With the temperature hovering around 32 degrees late Tuesday morning, freezing rain turned to ice covering this table at a location west of Abilene. While the Abilene area missed the predicted snowfall it did receive some needed precipitation. The forecast calls for a second winter storm late Thursday into Friday which could possibly bring significant snow and ice to eastern parts of Kansas.
