SOLOMON — A 28-year-old Solomon woman is accused of trying to set a truck on fire and slashing four tires.A court hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday before Magistrate Judge Keith Collett.

According to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Christine Rice went to the home of a 32 -year-old male in the 200 block of East Sixth Street in Solomon at 3:18 p.m. last Monday. There she allegedly poured gasoline on a Tundra truck and threw the gas can in the truck bed. She then put a rag in the gas tank of the truck and lit it on fire.

The man was able to pull the rag out of the tank. Rice is alleged to have charged the man with a knife. When he ran into a garage, she allegedly slit all four tires.

Rice left the scene, heading west and was appended by a deputy with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
