Drug arrest

A motion for discovery for a 35-year-old California man charged with having over 1 kilogram of methamphetamine was held in Dickinson County Court Friday.

Juan C. Garcia was arrested by Dickinson County Sheriff’s deputies last week when he failed to maintain a lane eastbound Interstate 70 and failed to make a proper turn signal.

A search of the U-Haul revealed an alleged 68 pounds of methamphetamine.

The charges carry a minimum range of 138 months up to 204 months in prison and a $500,000 fine.
