Country Mart installing self-checkouts
West Plaza’s Country Mart is installing three self-checkouts. Chris West, manager, said they will probably be operational today sometime in the afternoon. The store will keep their normal number of employees and will not decrease their hours, West said. The store will also not be forcing customers to use the self-checkouts by only having one register open like big store chains do.
