CHAPMAN — “Music connects us” is the theme of the 109th Chapman Labor Day celebration for 2018.
Events sponsored by the Chapman Lions Club will be held Sunday and Monday throughout Chapman.
Harold and Maralee Bray are the grand marshals for the Labor Day Parade to be held at 2 p.m. on Monday.
Parade participants should assemble at 1 p.m. at the Beemer Ball Complex for judging.
Events include the Chapman Labor Day Car & Motorcycle Show sponsored by the class of 1977 Scholarship Committee at Chapman High School.
Pinup Girls, dressed in 1940 and 1950 style outfits, will also be roaming the area from 10 a.m. to noon for picture opportunities.
Awards for the Participant’s Top 20, Mayor’s Choice, Farthest, 5-class Favorites and Best Motorcycle will be given at 1 p.m. Monday.
Other events include a toy show, pedal pull, art and crafts, food vendors, street dance, kid’s games, quilt show and tractor pull.
The 72nd Industry Little World Series men’s fast pitch tournament will be held Sept. 8 and 9 at the Beemer Complex.
